I recently went looking for causes to follow, rather than the political b.s. on the television or the b.s. in the sports I prefer. I found so many, and now there is one here in our own country.
To those affected by Hurricane Sandy, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have made a list of places never to live due to natural disasters or poisonous snakes, and I’m afraid the entire east coast just got looped into that. But, in all seriousness, I hope for a quick recovery not hindered by political bickering or red tape. This is not the time for that. This is not the time for another Katrina.
So, I generally try to avoid political messages. I’ll try really hard again. In the meantime, kudos to those who don’t care what party you are so long as we can work for a better tomorrow. That is a principle we were founded on. That is a principle we should all be able to agree on. If not, then what does that say about us? Just a thought, in an online world full of so many others.
